SideArm Rod Holders

  • SideArm Rod Holders are proudly made in the USA. All of the engineering, testing, manufacturing, and assembly is done in Texas and Florida.

  • Installation is straightforward and is similar to mounting other boat/deck hardware. Thru-bolting is the preferred method using a backing plate or fender washers and locking nuts. Alternatively, using woodscrews with the appropriate sealant and proper techniques will work as well. The mounting screws are standard #10 hardware. Review our Manuals page for more details.

  • No. While SideArms are engineered to withstand high loads and forces, we only advise using them for storage of fishing rods, nets, gaffs, etc. Fishing from SideArm Rod Holders is not recommended and will void your warranty. See our Warranty page for more details.

  • SideArm requires little maintenance to ensure proper function. A simple washdown after use with gentle soap and fresh water is all that is required. Review our Manuals page for more details.

  • No. SideArm Rod Holders are finished with a tough marine paint. Unlike powder coating that is susceptible to chipping and flaking, our finish will remain as applied with no maintenance required. Note: We recommend small washers be used under the mounting screws to eliminate the risk of removing the finish while installing.

  • Yes. While SideArm Rod Holders have a durable marine paint finish, they can be damaged or removed where the substrate (metal material) is either gouged, marred, or dented. Care should be taken while installing to not drop them or to scratch them with metal tools, etc. We also suggest small washers be used under the mounting screws to eliminate the risk of removing the finish while installing.

  • The liners are simple molded plastic parts that may move or slip over time from the metal rod holder. If this happens, we recommend you remove the liner and put a small bead of caulk on the outside of the liner and reinsert the liner into the rod holder.

  • Our supply is dependent on availability of raw materials and components. Those can be influenced by the ongoing global supply chain crisis.
